Christmastide Mystical Kingdom's Shield

Christmastide Mystical Kingdom's Shield or The Shield of Santa's Realm is the original safegaurd and protective barrier of the Kingdom. This mystical and extraordinary item ensures the sanctity, security, and secrecy of Santa's Realm. Inside the realm, the bustling operation is one place that keeps the Spirit of Christmas alive all year long. That keeps hope for Humankind. That unconditionally gives humans hope and love, wonder and peace, kindness and warmth.   The love. The hope. The wonder. The peace. This is Christmas. This is why we have we. This is why humans gather in community spaces. Why giving matters. Why caring for others is the always right thing to do. Why we should give more to charity, to people who've been failed by our government. Why things like Kids for Character help teach children but also why children are often better than the adults around them.  

Dear reader, I apologize for starting a sermon on my soapbox. I'll get back to the topic at hand in a minute. Let me reset myself. Okay, all done. This time of year always makes me preachy. I don't know why or what makes me so. Onwards, we go!

  The shield itself is powered by Ancient Power until Christmas Magic gains enough strength to power it completely. For a very long time, it stays on protecting the residents inside. Then it dies. The energy to sustain a shield of great strength is no more. And there is no shield for many years. It is only when the Guardians return Ancient Power does it return as well.   Santa Claus and the other Guardians knew the shield was hard to maintain during the last 100 years of its' existence the first time. Maybe even longer.   Some do say that a magical shield in the world of technology is more suspcious than not. Maybe that is also why it powered down.   And still, the exact reason is unknown.  

Composition of Christmastide Mystical's Shield

The shield is made from Christmas Magic (ether) (Ancient Power Dust - Christmas Magic Edition). It is said to be colored in blue and green. Maybe red and/or purple.  

Properties of Shield

Invisibility: The shield is invisible to the human eye. Post-2020, humans can see the shield and can pass through as many are pure of heart. The sheild is invisible to evil magical beings (particularily Anti-Christmas Beings (and their minions) and minions of the Dark Magic's Spirit)). Only good beings will see the shield. Post-2020, none of them can see it still but they know it's there.   Protection: This shield repels humans from entering or finding the village. This shield repels those with ill intentions (particularily Anti-Christmas Beings (and their minions) and minions of the Dark Magic's Spirit). It only allows people with the true Spirit of Christmas to pass through which can result in human children passing through and sometimes adults too. Post-2020, humans can pass through as many are pure of heart.  

Origins and History of Shield

When Nicholas made the valley his in 350CE, the shield began to exist. It was automatically done. No special ceremony. It then existed through one incarnation of Santa's Village (Santa's Village). Then magic left. Magic returned in 2020CE amd so did the shield.    

Spell to Create Mystical Shield of Santa's Realm

While there is no elaborate ceremony, there exists a way to make shield in case Santa had no protection or was not invisible to the human world.  

Ingredients

Santa's Staff of Christmas Spirit I and Amulet   Christmas Crystals (might even be performed in the Cavern)   Santa's Kingdom Map   A sprig of holly: Represents the festive spirit.   A cinnamon stick: Symbolizes warmth and protection.   A silver bell: To ward off negative energies.   A gold bell: To bring forth good energies.   A handful of snow: Represents the purity of Santa's Realm.   Red and green candles: For strength and vitality.   A circle of salt: To define the boundary of the shield.  

Incantation and Casting the Spell

Prepare Room or Chamber/Opening the Ritual: Inside the cavern, tables will be set up allowing items to be stationed here. Candels are lighted. Each table should be at the traditional main compass rose points.   Nicholas is only inside performing the spell unless Gertrude is with him.   Creating the Protective Circle: Salt is sprinkled in each table. Santa has salt in a bag on his person. Gertrude will too. If Gertrude is with him, both visualize a shield encompassing the entire realm. If not, just Nicholas visualizes.   Invoking the Spirit of Christmas: Nicholas, or Nicholas and Gertrude, invokes the Spirit focuing on the love and hope and warmth and wonder of the season. As they breathe in the hate and disharmony (all the bad stuff), they spread the magic of Christmas outwards from their location .   Chime Silver Bell: The bell is rung gently once.   Chime Gold Bell: The bell is rung once.   Walk and Chime: Go around the room and ring each bell at each table. After ringing, pick up each item and return to the table at the entrance of the cavern. Add each item, except bells, to the snow in the bowl on that table.   Recite the Incanation:

“By the light of the festive flame, I call upon the powers of old to protect and shield Santa’s Domain.   With warmth and love, a barrier bold. Holly and cinnamon, bell and snow, encircle this realm and let nothing foul flow.   In this circle, magic spun so guard this place ‘til time is done.”

  Closing the Ritual: After reciting the incantation, Nicholas holds his staff high while he, or he and Gertude, visualizes the magic of the season surrounding them and protecting them from evil magical beings and possibly humans. Then thank each item for their help and symbolism of Christmastide while silently walking to extinguish each candle.
