Lower Merchant Row
The Lower Merchant Row is characterized by many run down shops that sell lower class goods. These goods are not as valuable as goods sold in the Upper Merchant Row . The streets are not well maintained; there is always trash scattered on the ground, animal waste in the streets, and graffiti in the alleyways. A lot of the graffiti protests the matriarchal society, sexual tension, and the lack of freedom. There is a low police presence in this area and high pickpocket rates. It is not uncommon to see men fighting on the streets. There is also a large amount of stray animals that roam freely. Few people live in this district, usually the merchants who own the shops. All shops are run by male merchants. Women rarely enter this zone. Some women are curious as to how the lower class lives and come to the lower merchant row to try various items. When a women enters a shop, merchants usually get nervous and feel like they have to impress.
Demographics
Almost exclusively male, some women will venture down in search for specific goods that are deemed 'lower' such as grlled Sluginha and certain bread.
Assets
This area is known for Sluginha, which is a staple food in the diets of lower class men. Women are disgusted by Sluginha and would almost never buy it, which is why they are rarely in this area. Some other goods that are sold in this area include used shoes, faulty tools, expired produce, and canned food.
Architecture
The buildings in the Lower Merchant Row are simple and boxy. Not much time or thought is put into making the buildings look good or appealing; more time is spent on making the building functional. Most buildings look the same. The main building material for the exterior of buildings are bricks, which are inexpensive.
