A warlock is the Magic using class originally found on the major continent of Dergonhad but has spread worldwide as cross ocean contact as evolved. Largely disconnected from the Elf bloodlines that make casting possible, the Dagmon found another way to learn and access the magic of Aldern. Dagmon ancestors delved into studying the cosmos and realms Beyond Aldern. There they found patrons of power willing to share their magic in exchange for service. Similar to the Druid of Jerain, the warlocks of Dergonhad act as lore keepers, mystical advisors, priests and healers for their people. Some travel, other stand beside leaders as spiritual guides, all depends on the desire of their patron.

The relationship between warlock and patron power is as various as any relationship. Some use each other. Many have a respect and reverence. Still others are little more than slaves and masters. No matter the relationship or its terms, there is always a give and take for the warlock and their patron. Power is not given freely, nor is love and respect.
