Tyre (TIRE)

the First King

Tyre is considered the leader of the Aggoles that start the Aggelomachy. He along with Nyx and other aggoles took over the Council of Man of Noch in the mythical periods before the written world. Many of these aggoles claimed themselves Ilu (god) over Aldern, demanding worship.

The aggoles fell and were imprisoned in Kur by Alu at the end of the Aggelomachy. In their dark prison Tyre took who he considered the strongest of his host and formed the Nod Noch Nine, as modern scholars call them. These Nine are in an alliance whose goal was to reclaim their 'rightful' place as ilu of Aldern.

Tyre was the first of those aggoles imprisoned to "escape." This was done in the form of the first Avatar. A power he and Elilli devised. The two aggoles, with the aid of a Human who had come to worship the Nine, created a ritual that would use the energy of the Gilgurth impact to break the Nine out of their prison. This ultimately failed and slew the cult of worshippers. Tyre, however, was able to channel some of his spirit into the body of the cult leader. Tyre in the body of this Bone Lord worked to create the Pantheon of Nine during the Randeris Period. A religion based around the Nine and their return to the world.

Tyre still seeks to physically escape his prison, endlessly working toward this goal. The fruitless endeavor has driven him to hate the living of Aldern. To relieve this rage, he guides his cult to provoke wars, especially between nations where the Trijan faith is the strongest. Having Alu's faithful kill each other pleases him.

Tyre rarely creates an Avatar, despising being in the material world in anything other than his own form. His early attempts to escape Kur and create avatars has corrupted his connection, forcing him to only be able to inhabit bodies of deceased faithful. When needed, he will order one of his priests, usually the leader of the cult, to willingly sacrifice themselves in a ritual so the body can be used by their master. After which the Bone Lord Mask is placed on the corpse, channeling Tyre into it and raising the body as the Bone Lord. This is something the cult promotes as the ultimate devotion to Tyre, leaving him no shortage of the willing to make the sacrifices when needed.

Avatar

Through an ancient ritual Tyre can possess the recently scarified body of one of his faithful. He prefers to body of whoever is cult leader at the time, reveling in the mortal sacrifice. The body Tyre possesses acts as any corpse would, decaying away into bone and dust, giving Tyre only a limited stay in the mortal world. This avatar is known as the Bone Lord.
