Bone Lord Mask

The Bone Lord Mask is an ancient artifact said to have been created by Elilli of the Nod Noch Nine. The mask is primarily a conduit for Tyre to create an avatar in the material world. Through ritual the mask can be place on a recently sacrificed corpse and through the mask Tyre can possess the body. The ritual and sacrifice is needed for Tyre to fully possess the body and create his avatar. A living being wearing the mask will not be controlled by the Aggoles. However, Tyre will begin whispering in that person's ear, and filling their mind with dark, distorted images. Everyone who has ever worn the mask has been driven insane, slaying their own loved ones and eventually themselves.

The mask is made of the remains of a human skull, overlayed with Gold. Legend claims that under the gold is the skull of the first bone lord possessed by Tyre. This is unlikely however, as the earliest record of the mask's existence come to us from the Valmon Age. The mask appears sporadically in records since. These appearances usually precede great wars or eras of destruction.
