    Government

The region is run by the Imperial family and Iron Oak is their main homestead. They have a council of elders who enact their decisions and rullings and follow these laws made by the current emporer. The region is a dictatorship and the current ruler is Emporer Tristan Golthrin.

    Defences

100 meter tall 50 meter deep solid stone walls. Turrets at each corner and patrolls along the walls. Both entries have gates that open and drawbridges that can be raised to seal the gates in. The emporers dock and nothern gate have a similar gate that slides across. All gates aare heavily guarded. including the gates to the two inner walled tiers.   The city also had a Militia who patrol the walls and city streets to keep the city safe from threats outside and within the city. They are lead by Brionna a Halfling way of sun monk.

    Industry & Trade

The main factory centre porducing goods for the entire region. mostly magitech manufacturing but other produce is processed here too.

    Districts

The city is built up of 3 tiers to really enforce their class system of pure bloods being wealthy and living in the upper tiers and the half bloods living in the lower working class area.   Foundary quater - The lower class retail area. They never get the new stuff being made in the factories its where the old stock from the guilded rose is sold.   The pits - also known as the entertainment district this is filled with sports halls and arenas. This is where the blood bowl is held each year.   Quay village - the shipyards and fishing area with homes for the fishermen. this is the most mixed race area of the whole city.   Produce district - the farms and forestry area around the north wall.   The smoggies - the poorest area no humans live here. Anyone here works in the factories or the retail stores next to them.   The reach - the lower class pure blood only retail district.   The rambles - This is the main living area of the humans who have never made anything of themselves. there are many half bloods who live here now but they tend to keep to the smoggie side as some pure bloods do live here and arent afraid of starting a fight   The stacks - this is the area dedicated to the educated, studious and workers of the library.   Midtown - The more mixed housing area of the mid tier. These are the new mone genertion those who have made money on magitech and other new money sources. This does mean some half bloods who have made a name for themselves live here but tend not to be on the old town side.   Guilded rose boulevard - the wealthier retail district with the latest tech being made in the factories down the hill and sold here first before anywhere else.   Waterside - The richest diplomats and elders of the region. They dont all live here perminantly.   Old town - the oldest pure blood humans. Families can trace their family trees all the way to the first age. Not all currently wealthy but old money for sure   Thorns crown palace - Royal family and the council chambers. Guarded entry noone else is allowed to enter without pre determined permission.

    Guilds and Factions

Puritnicals - semi religious, pure blood human cult who believe the world needs to be cleansed of the vermin that is half bloods. Rebellion - the rising faction of half bloods trying to get their full rights and demanding accountability and recompensation for the hell they have faced for so many years. (think black lives matter and black panthers combined into one)

    History

Slavery and a class system has been in place since the early days of the cities creation. Originally pure bloods were only human and the working class was entirely halflings. Over time halflings were acepted as pure bloods along with any dragon born, dwarves and gnomes that live in the city. Elves are looked down upon but still treated with pure blood respect.   After the riots of 1352 the halfbloods were given equal rights, slavery was entirely made illegal and fair wages had to be paid.   Half bloods still fight to this day for rights, as while free people and no longer classed as owned property they are still bullied, harassed and generally loked down upon.

    Tourism

This is the retail capital of the region. They have several shopping districts and areas and multiple inns and places to stay.

    Architecture

The walls of the city are made from large grey stones. The buildings in the lower area are made of old brick that is coated in a greyish stone plastern and houses are all closely packed together with no to little garden spaces front or back (think miner terraces). The middle tier is more decorated with black painted woods (think tudor style) and have smalle back garden spaces. The thorns crown palace and the waterside area are more ornate detailed buildings with gold guilded aspects (think georgian) and achers of space.

    Geography

The city is built upon the banks of two adjoining rivers and is entirely built upon the slopes of the riverbanks. Therefore even without the rising tiers the north of the city would be higher thn the south.

    Climate

The climate is fair but a little grim. While the area does not have lots of rain the skys are permanently grey due to the plumes of smoke from the factories so only the northern areas of the city can see clear blue skys.

    Natural Resources

Wood is processed north of the city where the forests are and sold within the city. Grain and vegatables from the fieldsand livestock are also raised and processed on the northern walls of the city. Fish is caught along the two connecting rivers and processd in the fishing village outside the south of the walls.
