Prompts
Prompt 1: What lies beyond the last mapped place of your world?
The edge of known lands is always the beginning of legends. We have a label for those places. "Here be dragons".
Prompt 2:What cultural/societal transformation occurred due to a recent discovery/invention?
A new horizon doesn't always lie across the sea, it may rise from the forge, the lab, or the mind.
Prompt 3: How does your world handle first contact with another civilization?
I get it, sometimes it's hard to meet new people, but you need to put your best foot forward, don't you? ... Don't you?
Prompt 4: What responses to a new frontier opened have been declared by spiritual or philosophical organizations?
Sometimes an event, big or small, causes faith to bend, or even break, and sometimes whole ideas collapse under the weight of the latest reality.
Prompt 5: What horizon is being denied by your world and why?
Not everywhere welcomes the unknown. Maybe they're keeping it secret, calling it too different for the world to accept. Maybe it's in plain sight and people are finding their way to it no matter what others do, not knowing what's on the other side.
With all of Ymir being a new horizon, I figured I'd let a homesteader talk about this one.
A hopeful lamentation
