Intelligent tentacle shadow wolf-like creatures, came from the lower deck, trying to eat the crazy nob. They started talking to each other apparently.
The shadow worgs tried to eat everyone, the crazy nob tried to help them them but got decked with a bucket. After a while some guards showed up and killed the rest of the creatures, then stuck everyone back into their cells. Managed to nab the unconscious nob. Captain checked the lower decks, apparently the dogs ate all the other prisoners and damaged the ship. We were escorted top deck, and got our first view of a village straight out of Dragon's Dogma.
We were handed off to a frilly peacock of a man, and after being patted down lead to a building. Man inside behind a ledger called us a "Special Order" requested by the captain? Ledger man processed us through the system, asked for stuff like (previous) occupation and skills. Afterwards lead into another room, a bootleg throne with Fatman the hobgoblin. Given some equipment and a mission to go through the jungle. Something has interrupted the workforce, we are being sent to investigate and fix the problem.
Mayor Gordo: Our contractor and apparent ruler of the town.

Asked the captain about somewhere to get some work done, got directed to a craftsmans shop. The craftsman was a dwarf, seemed like he had experience with thieves. Agreed to work at the mill cutting wood with the hobgoblin.
