[The Whispering Crypt quest log:]

[Notes:]

  • Arriving to the crypt, Prospero and his companions are greeted by a patch-faced old woman who disappears into the mist.

  • Upon entering the crypt proper, the group inspects the immediate area and are set upon by zombies after Invictus removes a mural from the wall. Prospero lands the first attack and successfully gains control of one of the zombies, naming it Skinny. The party gains **200 exp**.

  • Moving ahead to the next room, the party is greeted by a blind seer. After some ~~flirtations~~ casual chatter, the party receives their fortunes and move on. Invictus triggers a trap, causing a panic before righting his misdeed, netting everyone **150 exp**.

  • Filth! Verminous ruin! Beset upon by beetles in a flooded room, Prospero contracted **Filth Fever** and nearly fell victim to their assault! However, his bodyguards proved their worth, and ultimately gained **250 exp** for survival.

  • Upon exiting the flooded room, the party encountered the mausoleum proper, with the opened casket holding the remains of the von Holt family. No combat is made as Prospero beseeches the undead corpses to continue their work, and is granted the Family's journal along with an artifact that had been buried with them.

  • The moment Nikolaos had taken the last of the four artifacts, the room began to rumble; Divesting themselves of the undead they had taken under their control, the party escapes to freedom through a secret passage mere moments before the Crypt collapses on top of them.


    • > **Cryptkeeper's Cloak**
    > - *Made from the tattered robes found within the crypt, this cloak seems to shimmer with a ghostly aura.*
    > - **Effect:** Once per day, allows the wearer to become ethereal, as per the spell *Etherealness*.
