Gaunt, thin, and wiry; He was never a healthy boy, and the frailty still shows upon his flesh.

Surgical scars line his body-- Some appear as if he'd been vivisected, others imply he's had alchemical runes carved into his flesh, culminating in a helical cicatrix over his heart.

Light freckles dot his face.

Prospero's right ear tapers up higher than his left; He is as much asymmetrical and nonstandard as one can get without appearing lopsided.

His body cannot tolerate Positive Energy, and heals from Negative.

Apparel & Accessories

What at first appears to be an old, tattered silken Wizard robe flutters and floats on his person with an ethereal, gossamer grace; As if he were wearing a ghost. Beneath his cloak and armored coat, Prospero wears simple clothing from Ustalav; A button-up shirt and waistcoat, trouser slacks, and a pair of hefty, gravedirt-encrusted work boots.

Personal history

Prospero comes from a line of Ustalav gravekeepers; People who travel the roads in and out of the fogbound principality to clean the roads of any unfortunate souls who meet their grisly end away from civilization. Having been surrounded by death and mourning for all of his early life, Prospero found it all so... tragic. Why must such suffering be allowed in the world? Is that not unfair? What becomes of that question? Such line of thinking was dangerous, especially in the village Prospero was born-- Thankfully, the boy found several like-minded individuals to take him in under their wings, and whisper together untold truths of the world. Friends, who would accept the boy shunned as a Gravekeeper's son.

Burgeoning with new, untapped potential at his fingertips, Prospero dabbled. By the gods, did he dabble with the best his Podunk village had to offer. However, he'd reached a bottleneck; He'd gained everything he wanted by accepting into himself a soul-scarring curse, and still he wanted more. More than what his village could offer. Packing his bags, Prospero now sets out in search of that special something, that final spark to break the wall holding him back.

If he ends up making the world a better place along the way, well, some concessions have to be made.

Education

"Apprenticed" under a mage from the Caliphas Quarterphaux, and is otherwise self-taught through bequeathed journals and stolen textbooks.

Employment

An ex-Gravedigger, Prospero was no stranger to graverobbing to sell the cadavers to the Quarterfaux on the side.
