Clamor at the Colosseum (ooc)

We start the session heading to the arena and the box with Dorath, Tiny, Yanef and Lir'Bith. Perception checks as we're running: corpses are grouped together, but not evenly littered. Investigation check: the corpses are congregated around brothels, but none of the bodies are the prostitutes.
 
We discuss what we're expecting when we get to the arena. Why/How did they get trapped and why didn't they fight back? Mallon/Manny: maybe Dorath is being threatened with his hidden hard drive, that is just LOADED with halfling porn. Dutton/Eles does this they might be being threatened, maybe with Dorath losing his power over the city. Is the cult trying to take over the city, or just destroy it or cause general mayhem. Kate/Dara thinks they might have been overpowered and are just being held captive.
At any rate, we are definitely walking into a trap.
 
As we continue, fewer people. but of the people we see it's mostly guards. The main bridge crossing was destroyed. Everyone made it over, except Eles. Dara tied a rope to her handaxe to help Eles climb up.
 
After 12 minutes of jogging, Manny gets a message from Yanni. "We have a visitor for you" sounding not at all concerned about Affgroth. Because she had no idea anything was happening. She's very concerned that this will be blamed on the halflings. Yanni is also very vague about who Manny's visitor was. We all pretty much think it's Hops. (I have a very fun image of a small halfling bounding down the streets of Affgroth in full plate mail. Very cute, but very wrong!)
 
Entering the arena, we can see straight into the fighting pit. We hear insane wizard laughter in our heads as Youthstone holds his hands up.
 
We decide to head to the box first to try and rescue hopefully all of the NPCs. but we just find Dorath and Tiny surrounded by hobgoblins. Tiny broke the bonds on Dorath. Miraculously, Eles broke the bonds on Dorath. as we finish defeating the baddies, we walk out onto the box platform,
 
At some point, either the druid or wizard summoned our alternate reality PCs.

THEN, we get our OWN wizard!
