Compendium il' Arcanum 00

by Nadi Marquestor

It is in this tome I, Nadi Marquestor, shall record the wonders of magic beheld by mine own eyes. This comes to mind as the most curious of wonders came across my life most recently. The Harbor Masters, an atypical source of magical artifacts had some to my door with an unusual find, a woman sealed in a glass box.

At first I had been amazed and the condition of the body, no deteriation, dragged from the sea, so clearly no leaks, and still head together under the immense pressure. Clearly magic had to be involved. It took much studying but it was clear that this case had been built to both capture and protect the fair human inside, what incredible sublte and strong magics!

Though it took many an evening, it slowly became clear that this magic was quite organic, or natural to the being which cast it. There was no study, but a mix of emotions, clearly strong, admiration and jealousy, twisting both adjuration and transmutation structures. When the magics are wound so tight to the casters emotions one must treat pulling apart the threads the same as soothing over the discomfort of the caster. It is odd to call magic "so pretty" but the threads responds as if the mage was there in the flesh.

With much effort, this mage sure was petty, the storm was finally calmed and the lid could be removed. And by Apicultor, this next part is truly what makes this amazing, this woman was and is alive!

While the preservation magics were quite amazing I do believe this master of the arcane had made some critical flaws. My new quest seemed to be a bit short of good air for quite some time, she continued on about destiny, love and joy. I do hope she will recover her wits, to have lasted so long just to lose ones mind would be a shame.
