Shadowzap's origins are largely unknown and her character before her time as a slave is also unknown. However, what is known is that she was once a victim of the slave ring in Aramoor City and has since held a deep hatred for spellcasters, especially for wizards. She treats spellcasters with fear, but she is more willing to hear them out if they prove to wield their magics with competence and not with malicious intent.
In addition to the party's desire to learn more about the World Serpent, Jörmungandr, Shadowzap wishes to dismantle the slave trade happening in the Kingdom, starting with the source of her enslavement, Aramoor City. Not able to deal with the issue herself, she has currently allied herself with Aurthus Kalydyr begrudgingly, though after hearing about his own suffering as a slave in Aramoor City too, she has softened up around him.
Shadowzap first appeared in Chapter 1, Session 5: After the Dust Settles, where she is seen escaping a cell after being captured by the Cult of the Ouroboros. Since then, she has been seen off and on, occasionally bumping into the party, until her more permanent appearance in Chapter 2, Session 8: The Viscount's Proposal.
Appearance
Physical Description
Shadowzap is small and sickly, with pale yellow skin marred with scars and splotches. Her hair is stringy, braided into twin braids thrown over her shoulders on each side, and her grey eyes are hazy and glazed over. Shadowzap does not have much muscle on her body, and she can get exhausted quickly.
Apparel & Accessories
Shadowzap uses anything as clothes and is currently using the clothes she took off a farmer's scarecrow. Her usual attire seems to be ragged clothing like this, but her preferred clothing style is currently unknown. Shadowzap also does not accessorize, though it's also unknown if this is by choice or not.
Mentality
Personal history
Shadowzap's history is largely unknown, and her severe paranoia often prevents others from getting to know her. However, what is known is that she was once a slave to an unknown captor. Now that she is free, she disdains spellcasters and trusts no one who wields them carelessly or uses them for evil.
Mental Trauma
While the source of her trauma can largely be attributed to her past as a slave, the exact details of why she became so paranoid are unknown. Shadowzap has a large disdain for spellcasters despite being one herself, and she has an even larger distrust of wizards, especially if they wield their magic carelessly or for evil. Shadowzap distrusts others to the point of scurrying away or covering her ears to avoid speaking or even listening to music from bards.
Intellectual Characteristics
Despite how she presents herself to others, Shadowzap is capable of logical decision making. She more or less acts with her emotions, but has also exhibited the need to act rationally and logically when tracking down those relating to the slave ring. For her, it's not that she is not intelligent, but her trauma is usually what prevents her from truly achieving her goal on her own. Shadowzap is also capable of speaking five languages, including the language of the Underdark, which is notorious for being difficult to learn.

Personality
Motivation
Shadowzap's primary motivation is the suffering she went through in her past as a slave. Whatever happened to her during that time was enough for her to greatly desire the dissolution of the entire slave ring and to end slavery once and for all. Nothing else motivates her to this degree, and she only acts if it further propels her towards this ultimate goal.
Virtues & Personality perks
Shadowzap has a soft spot for other slaves and wishes to free them, seeing herself in their visage. This is closely tied to her desire to end slavery, but Shadowzap is also not wholly heartless as to ignore others in suffering.
Vices & Personality flaws
Despite her desire to help others, she dislikes spellcasters and may hesitate to save them. This is not for any evil or malicious purpose, but out of fear for what they might do once they are free.
Personality Quirks
Shadowzap tends to yell when in the presence of those she fears. She also hisses at those she knows can cast spells rather than speaking to them normally.

Speech
Shadowzap speaks with a grizzly but higher pitch tone, and her accent is reminiscent of Rolinet Goblins who live in the Rolinet Gardens of The Everglade Realm. They speak with harsher, gutteral consonants and have heavy sibilance on their 's' and 'sh' sounds.
