The world is beginning to heal a decade after the defeat of the Dragon Queen, Tiamat. The dragons have calmed, the destruction wrought by her minions still scars the lands, but settlements are being rebuilt, and life seems to be returning to a sense of normalcy. However, in the Everglade Realm, a continent west of Andova, unease begins to set in once again; tremors are more frequent, a mysterious group of people with insidious intentions begins to act more brazenly, and rumors of the “Great Serpent” are more and more common.
In the wake of such rising tensions, the Dwarven Nation of Valgrymm is opening its doors to the world for the first time in centuries, and the High King is throwing a banquet for such a momentous occasion. Many flock to this auspicious event, including burgeoning adventurers and those seeking information. The king makes a declaration, a challenge: “Intruders are threatening to invade our home already. For those who can cull their numbers, a propitious prize awaits.”
But what truly stirs in the forests outside their mountain home is a seeding event that will lead the party into a hectic adventure involving the Cult of the Ouroboros, and the shadowy deity they worship: The Great Serpent.
