Session 1: Survive Report

General Summary

Caught in the webbing and moving towards the Gnome, a couple of what looks like Swamp Creatures have noticed you. Behind them the source of the strange lights is now more obvious you can see part of a similar portal that you had stepped through moments earlier.... You are all stuck still within the crystal, it is cracking and with a little effort you are sure you can get yourselves out.  

Freeing yourselves

Ellyrian Starchaser found it difficult to free herself from the crystal, struggling and failing. While her blink dog puppy manages without a problem   Mozdemir and Cairn Macdui have no difficulty freeing themselves from the crystals. With Mozdemir rushing over to help Ellyrian Starchaser  

The Gnome

The mysterious gnome spins back to the mist, and slams his staff down twice. The first time a firebolt shoots out streaking into the mist. The second, the mist lifts and while you can now see the monsters through it, they are focusing on their feet that have suddenly become entangled in what looks like webbing?   "Arm yourself" pointing at the weapons and armour against the wall.  

Dalir Sigdal

The Gnome introduces himself as Daldir Sigdal , a member of the "The Whitecloaks". He will explain to the party that he is a member of the Bureau of Mysteries, he seems very proud of being a whitecoat - with a little bit of asking he will admit he is a trainee. Sent to this place to record who has came through the portal looking for known criminals and missing people. The Whitecloaks have agents at every known portal, as people are still coming through 83 years later with the odd person coming through a different portal than others in their group, or across different timespans. Leading to a lot of "missing" people and others claiming identities. He calls across to Days Jones and asked the players to tell the Day their names and location they came from.   He lets them know they are in a hamlet known as Mareford and they should go to The Shadowed Oak Inn.   He gives one last warning looking at Ellyrian Starchaser, the innkeep Thoran Grimwood doesn't like elves... but he likes The Whitecloaks money and fears their wrath more.
