Session 8: Time for reflection and learning the consquences

The Citizens of Mareford are shaken... but its still time for a festival and even current events won't move the determination for normality.   Begin pulled thousands of meters into the sky would already have been unsettling, but seeing giant "Runes" reflecting darkness, death, the elements and then scenarios in which the world(s) end would not exactly make the experience more pleasant.   Aeloria once again, "advising" leaving you with information but not answers and awaking to Thoran shook to his core while the ceiling shakes. You got out, and so did the "Ent" that was the Shadowed Oak next to the Inn. What is your next step, someone must have answers but you know you need to rest and reflect. Aeloria warned you that you are not strong enough yet... you must grow, help one another and "grow" into your powers

Session 7: What was Lyria doing down here?

Upon on raised dias surrounded by eerily lights still flickering after all this time, is a workbench or is it an altar of unknown purpose? Upon it is a book, Hilda did mention that you would need something strongly emotionally connected to Lyria to speak to her spirit. Maybe the contents hold the key to being able to commune.   Also... I should mention the arcane anomalies that are clearly present on the dias...

Session 6: What is beneath The Shadowed Oak Inn?

After numerous attempts to break the magical seals of the trap door, what will be found beneath the Inn? Each time referenced by Thoran and Hilda, it was made to sound evil and a challenge to a normal persons sanity. Will Lyria be able to contacted and expelled from the Inn?

Session 5: Opening the door to beneath The Shadowed Oak Inn

Armed with a pouch of dust, promised by Hilda to enable communication with Lyria without incurring her wrath or causing her harm, the party prepares to confront the spectre of Lyira that has tormented Thoran for so many years. This entity has weighed heavily on his conscience, compelling him to keep both its memory and physical presence hidden from all.   Their first task is to unseal the trapdoor Thoran mentioned. Sealed by powerful magic, Thoran has neither known nor desired to learn how to open it since the day he sealed it shut. Now, the party stands at the threshold, ready(?) to uncover the haunting secret that has burdened Thoran with such relentless guilt.

Session 3: Waking up with the feel of malice in the air

The room is shrouded in darkness, the only light coming from the faint glow of the moon filtering through the small window. The air feels unusually cold, and an eerie silence hangs heavily around you, broken only by the occasional creak of the old wooden beams.   You are abruptly awakened by a sense of foreboding and an almost palpable chill. As your eyes adjust to the dim light, you notice the flickering shadows cast by the moonlight. The room seems eerily quiet, and a strange, unsettling feeling grips you.

Session 1: Survive

The screams of injuries caused by violence cut through the air, the first sounds you have heard since you were made mute by the crystal running up and solidifying around your body.   Looking around you can see you are in a courtyard, un-ceremonially propped up against a wall with a lot of other crystals, you also notice a few of them are crumbling exposing other people underneath in a similar situation to you.   A Small Gnome Gandalfing in a gateway "Get out of those crystals! You are helpless there, for the love of the gods this had to happen now"

The Crack: Everyone's Mutual Memory   The world screamed that day, a cry of unimaginable agony that echoed through every soul. It didn’t matter your race, creed, or station; the day began the same for all, with a rupture that split the heavens and the earth.   THE WORLD CRACKED AND DIED THAT DAY AND NO ONE KNOWS WHY   The sudden appearance of ancient, mysterious portals, known as "Arks," sparked a frantic rush to understand their nature and safety. The Elves recognized them from ancient histories as gateways to new realms, prompting a chaotic first migration marked by violence and desperation. The wealthy and powerful were the first to escape removing the protection that was so many of the common folk relied on. This migration left a fractured world in its wake, with society's norms collapsing. The disciplined Dragonborn rose to the challenge to secure paths to the portals.
