Vita
Vita is a powerful liquid only obtainable from the Plane of Vitality, renowned for its abilities. While it can be harnessed as a weapon, it is predominantly used to heal.
Vita can cure cuts and bruises in seconds, but more significant injuries may take longer. Vita can slow the ageing process and reverse ailments that come with old age. Vita can even be used to restore old and broken objects, small vials often carried by archaeologists to revitalise ancient artifacts.
Unsurprisingly, vita is a common tool used by vitamancers. These sorcerers specialise in healing, many running small businesses out of their own homes healing patients. Many mythologies surrounding curing the uncurable come from vitamancers performing their craft.
Vita is one half of the healing process. The other half comes from the mind. Someone can only be healed using vita if it is what their heart and mind desires. While it is rare for someone to not want to be healed, numerous records show vita causing adverse effects, mercifully killing the patient who was given it.
Distribution
Vita can only be found in the Plane of Vitality. This magical realm is like any other, except vita takes the place of water. This endless realm is predominantly an ocean of vita, with island spanning eternity, and a perpetual sunset.
Vita-harvesting factories have large pipes running through wormholes to literally suck the vita out of the realm.
Very neat. I suppose vita-harvesting is sustainable if the Plane is infinite. "Mercifully killing those given the treatment"? Just how severe are these side-effects?
It is indeed sustainable! If someone does not want to live, vita will essentially euthanise them. It's a completely painless death :)
