Solardust
Solardust is a magical material found in certain gas giant planets. The dust lies on the outer edges of these planets and filters light through, evenly distributing it throughout the planet. Shadows don't exist and daylight is permanent on these planets, and the only way to create darkness is artificially. The concept of darkness is foreign to the people of these planets, and few create artificial darkness.
Solardust comes in the form of a light pink powder. It is closely tied to phosphomagic, the field of magic that involves light. It can be condensed and turned into crystals which can light up rooms evenly, regardless of the size of the room.
