Limnoteuthis
Limnoteuthis is a genus of extinct squids from Early-Late Jurassic Germany, on planet Earth. The largest specimen discovered measured a foot in diameter. These squids lived in the Tethys Ocean, hunted by small ichthyosaurs, such as Magnipterygius.
Its name translates to "marsh squid", having been first discovered in marshlands.
