Avanus Parelli

Personal History

Avanus was born on Norrab, three-hundred and seven years ago. His family were master sorcerers that grew up in a small coven hiding deep within the Sandaris Highlands. They had no connection to the wider world, sticking to their magical ways. Both parents guided him down the path of magic, training him to understand and communicate with animals.

He first encountered the Milky Way Encyclopedia of Life when he was fifteen - his coven would not use modern technologies, such as Utopia, a network system used across the Yonderverse.

A visit to a small town north of the Sandaris Highlands brought him into the modern world. Through the magic of online research, Avanus discovered just how big the world he lived in was. Avanus became fascinated with the idea of visiting other planets and discovering new creatures.

Avanus contacted a group of sorcerers online, asking to meet in person. He sought advice and knowledge from people from distant lands, as he was terrified of the thought of leaving his coven, but knew he was destined to explore the world. In just a few years, Avanus had ventured around five planets and had registered two hundred and fifty animals to the Milky Way Encyclopedia of Life.

Avanus continued to register new creatures into this online compendium, not stopping for two hundred years. He retired at the age of two-hundred and seventeen, spending his later years as a volunteer at the Marble Mud Ranch, on planet Mars. He still volunteers to this day, passing on his knowledge to young sorcerers. Outside of volunteering the ranch, Avanus spends his time taking care of three silt hounds, with his husband.
