Barbarian kingdom
Prior to the Rise of the Dragons during the Before, the legendary Barbarian hero Yandal established a kingdom in the Alteau Plains that became one of the few to resist the expansionist Naderān Empire and one of the last to fall during the Rise of the Dragons. The kingdom was established and ruled from the city of Yandasard that later became the capital of the Dragon Order.
The kingdom has been variously recorded as the Kingdom of Yandal, the Plains Kingdom, or simply the Barbarian Kingdom, but no official name was ever given in historical documents from the time period.
