  •   Methods
  • spies
  • sleeper agents
  • sabotage

  •   The Legion's main goal was to divide and conquer. They planted spies in pivotal roles to gather information and sow seeds of distrust among decision makers. With planted evidence, they made conspiracies seem reasonable, and faith in the Protectorate Alliance.

  • aside: as with much of history, it's impossible to say what level of influence the Legion has had on the Protectorate's waning value.

  •
  • includes the Legion's covert insertion of spies, abduction of residents, and implantation of mind control chips
  • their spies and sleeper agents were used to sow chaos and mistrust, sabotaging equipment and planting the seeds of conspiracies

  •   Events
  • takeover of archive
  • battle for talmar

  •
  • ends with the battle for talmar, which destroyed the major invading force and ended the threat of mind control
  • also includes the Legion's takeover of the island housing the Preceptor Archive on Mithorous

  •   Aftermath
  • long-lasting distrust
  • permanent psionic damage
  • legion cells remain
  • perimeter
  • structures on talmar & uplifting
  • addition of rada

  •
  • It's impossible to know for sure, but the Legion is largely blamed for ushering in the current age of mistrust
  • people could no longer trust their own thoughts and actions, nor those of the people around them. are coworkers and leaders who they said they were, or were they legionnaire spies? or being controlled by them?
  • even when spies were discovered and removed, harm to alliances, partnerships, and collaborations can't be so easily restored
  • though the main invading force was defeated, and many spies were routed out, many legion cells remain. their bases hide on asteroids, moons, and in uninhabited reaches of habited planets
  • despite the heavy loss they suffered, they still have a formidable force maintaining control over rada
  • the average person sees the legion as little more than a distant boogeyman, but those more directly impacted may fear them the rest of their lives
