Blackiron

The dwarfs of the Blackiron family were some of the first people to join the Larrentell family when they settled the Silver Mountains. Since the Larrentell didn't know how to smith, they became close friends and helped each other wherever possible.
Today the Blackiron family lives inside Crestfall Summit, just under Highpoint. From here, they can make mines in the vast cave networks within the mountain, enough to be able to live well just off of trading it. But the Blackiron family has developed a smithing technique that makes Blacksteel, a heavy and strong type of steel that gets a dark look from the smithing process. They provide Blacksteel for the Larrentell family in exchange for whatever they could want.
A few Blackiron family memebers have served in the Highguard through the years, the only non-elves to do so. Others have also been advisors to Harkon Larrentell, and one, Hukor Blackiron, is currently an advisor to Melissia Larrentell, serving as her Master of Coin.
