Clan Gritlok
The Imperial Dwarf Clan Gritlok are particularly fine geological engineers, miners, and pitmasters, having honed their skills and crafts over many generations. They settled in Talagaad after the mighty natural wonder of the Taalbaston captured their attention — its unique formation and incredible strength are a tantalising mystery that calls for extensive study and excavation.
Gritlok’s miners make useful contacts for the characters. Dwarfs are stout fighters, more likely than most to believe tales of beasts lurking in the dark corners of the Grand Duchy, and a few even know of ways inside Talabehim through tunnels beneath the Taalbaston. Of course, the friendship of a Dwarf is hard won, but once earned, it can endure an age and more.
