Overview

Celralan Nesskan serves as the village leader of Beech Sadak, a rice-farming community nestled at the edge of the Mistmire Swamp. Known for his even temper and quiet strength, Celralan is a respected elder whose words carry weight among the villagers. He is most often seen in practical garments marked with the gold medallion of village leadership—a simple emblem passed down through tradition.   Though his golden scales have dimmed with age, his eyes remain sharp, and his voice steady. Celralan prefers negotiation to confrontation and believes that peace and routine are the pillars of a good life. Yet beneath his calm exterior lies deep concern—for his village, for his wife Emotol, and especially for his daughter Umberoza.

Disposition

Celralan is deeply compassionate, though at times overly cautious. His instinct is to shelter those he loves, and this has made him slow to accept change or danger. Outsiders are met with suspicion, not from cruelty, but from a desire to protect. Once his trust is earned, however, he is unwaveringly loyal and generous.   He carries the weight of leadership quietly, listening more than he speaks. When necessary, he stands his ground with calm authority.

Emotol Nesskan: His wife. A former priestess and the spiritual heart of their family. He relies on her wisdom in both public and private life.
  Umberoza Nesskan: His daughter. Raised under magical illusion to hide her black scales. Celralan did not know the full truth for many years, and though shocked by her revelation, he ultimately chose love and acceptance over fear.

Role in the Village

Celralan presides over disputes, oversees planting schedules, and coordinates local defenses. He does not see himself as a ruler, but as a caretaker. His approach to leadership favors consensus and tradition over bold change.   Though reluctant to involve the village in outside affairs, he made room for the presence of the adventuring party and gave them his trust once their good intentions became clear.
