Igneau

Demographics

The dominant race in the larger cities is the elves, with the other races being mixed in at a lower concentration. The wealth classes are widely separated, with the homelessness and impoverished making up a larger portion of the population than the wealthy. The people are also separated based on magic, magical people tend to be wealthier.

Government

Ingeau is run by the Council of Terr.   Everyone has the right to a fair trial by a Council appointed judge.   Public indecency and brawling are punishable by 2 weeks jail time.   Theft and B&E are punishable by 6 months jail time.   Murder and rape are punishable by death.   Owning or moving a rust monster is punishable by 20 years in prison.   Magic users are required to register and be properly educated on how to control their magic.

Defences

The cities in Igneau are well defended with large militias and thick walls.

Industry & Trade

The big cash flow for Igneau is the export of metals and glass. Most people in the lower-middle-class work in mines and foundries, excavating or refining the raw materials for sale. Many of the upper-class work as farmers, farming is considered a noble profession. Scholars and explorers often travel east to delve into the many caves and quarries to seek knowledge of Vod'Aura and what lies beneath its surface.

Infrastructure

Massive glass kilns and foundries dot the wastelands of Igneau, creating the lifeblood of the country, refined glass and metal.

Assets

Ignar and Lurran are the jewels of the East. Vast amounts of precious ores are buried under the landscape of Igneau.

Guilds and Factions

The two main classes are magic and non-magic. the magical people are wealthier and have a higher social standing. The people are then broken down even further by wealth, non-magic people can still be wealthy, only they still won't be accepted into some circles.   The Guilds Association is a large conglomerate spanning over both countries, creating an environment for all of the guilds to come together and share knowledge. (see Guilds Association page)   The Banking families control the economy in Igneau. They are generally self serving.

Architecture

Most of the buildings are made with fluid motions, long sweeping curves, scrolled edges, high arched ceilings and lots of pillars. The use of glass is everywhere, structurally and decoratively, considering it is the number one highest produced material in the East.

Geography

Deserts and wastleland, apart from a few large plots of fertile soil. The wastelands are dotted with large ravines filled with ores and gems.
