Communal Interstellar Navy
The Communal Interstellar Navy (CIN) is the Deepspace Navy of the Galactic Imperium of Stellar Communities and part of the Communal Armed Forces in according to the Mutual Defense Act and Combined Forces Resolution of 2628 and 2629.
The Communal Navy is independent of any one Nation of the GISC, and is as of present, under the control of the Imperial Community Council and it's Head, the President Councillor.
The Navy is not a Monolithic Institution like most Navies of Nations. As there is not one Identity or one Border to defend but many, it was chosen that so called Classis would be established. Each Classis has a Specific Region that they are recruiting in and are responsible for during Peacetimes. Their Responsibilities are Defense Readiness in case of a Invasion, Protect the Internal Integrity and ensure Border Security for Outside Borders.
While these are the Primary Responsibilities, they are not the only responsibilities. Many Classis also take it upon themselves to Create a Positive image of the Navy, the Armed Forces in General and by extend the GISC. In addition, Classis have become part of the Space Infrastructure System as around 2645, in an effort to increase response times of Forces internally to outside threats, have established a plan to interconnect eachother more.
Structure
The structure of the naval forces is organized into a hierarchy of ranks and positions, starting with the rank and file personnel such as the Remigio and Navitor Rito and working up to the highest flag officers such as the High Lord Admiral of the Navy. The officers of the naval forces are responsible for the command and management of the ships and personnel under their command, with the higher ranks having more authority and responsibility. The Flag Officers are responsible for the overall strategy and direction of the naval forces, and report directly to the President Counciller and the Empress.

Culture
The Communal Navy expects certain ways of behavior from all of its members.
First, Protocol is highly enforced. The proper etiquette and proper conduct for Rank and Position is highly important. Consequences for breaking this can be quite severe. Using the wrong rank to adress one of Higher rank for example, can lead to weeks of the punitive labor and in the worst offenses even to getting reduced in rank. However, this is not always the case. then,
Second, Community or commradry is just as important. It is not uncommon that on Vessels that are out for months, the standard of Protocol relaxes. In strong cases, officers and even the Captain of the vessel might fratenize with the rank and file.
