Overview of the Vesax timeline
The Tear refers to an incident where the barriers of the planes were thinned and began to bleed into one another.
After much of the known world was destroyed by the Tear, a being either created or affected by the plane of fire, began to quickly assert dominance over ancient Vesax and whatever few civilizations survived the Tear.
Eventually, the Ash Lord was defeated by the Templars, an ancient group similar to modern Paladins.
The armies of Tiamat and Bahamut (mostly kobold and dragon born) meet in the western desert and fight for the glory of their god under the command of the chromatic and metallic dragons.
The first dwarves are seen in Darnia since the Ash Lords era and quickly establish relations with the Orstad empire, trading resources to avoid invasion.
At this point, the Northern high elves begin to make themselves known and most other small powers recognise them as a major power. Many of these small kingdoms, towns, and city-states pledge themselves under the banner of the new country of Mondlicht. This was the first group to give Orstad pause in centuries.
In a show of immense magical power, Abadon Mournwing conjures enough magic power to raise the entirety of the city of Bilhus into the sky and create a floating city, permanently cementing Ennesland as the magical powerhouse of the continent.
With the open worship in Ennesland and the allowance of any religion or cult, many believed that the peace would not last. While small issues would crop up, these usually resulted in the isolation of groups on their islands. For many years this was believed to be the extent of punishment.
However, after the Cult of *Vecna* made a bid for power and directly attacked the Bilhus university and attempted to break into the magic vault, the attacking forces found themselves, their families, and in one case, their phylactery teleported back to their island.
The offending group and its allies had their island begin to float away from the cluster of Bilhus's other islands with their own island covered in an immense anti-magic field. Once the island floated roughly 400ft away, the entire Bilhus heard the words "Traitors will not be tolerated." in the voice of Abadon Mournwing, after this was heard, the entire Vecna island fell from the sky, killing everyone on it.
Since then, there have been two more drops.
After the fall of Orstad, most countries began to repair and build their own cultures after having much of it taken for more than a millennia, unlike others though, the kingdom of Donze began to grow its army.
Once the army of Donze grew to a sizable force it began to expand the borders of the kingdom. Over the course of the expansion era, much of the southern wildlands and orc kingdoms were conquered leaving only Jujan Tok, the south mountain principalities were turned into puppet states to guard against Ichan, and the Far North was turned into allies via treaties signed by the largest clans. During the late expansion era, Donze began to expand into Ennesland, this prompted their former allies of Sykengland to take notice and utterly devastate the expansion forces of Donze and end the expansion era.
After years of comfortable peace, the countries of Ennesland and Sykengland were threatened by the Donze expansion.
After the expansion war ended, Ennesland and Sykengland wanted to make their partnership official and recognised. An official alliance was made and signed by the Headmaster of Enneslands university and the Chancellor of the country, while Sykenglands High-commander and six most senior council members.
This signing is repeated every six years.
After many ages of plentiful and successful mining operations, the Darnia kingdom begins to find that the largest mines have run dry and that the new mines typically get overrun by Duergar, Void spawn, or Drow from the Underdark. Within a very short period of time, most of the power of the Darnia power was almost entirely lost.
Other affected countries that relied on the mines of Darnia included Donze, Ennesland, and Sykengland.
As many locations begin to struggle to supply ore and minerals after Darnia began to run dry, many became shocked when the relatively small RedRum traders begin to offer immense amounts of ore on behalf of the Mondlicht crown. Within the span of a couple of months, Mondlicht becomes the trading centre of Vesax and the wealthiest country by far.
During a visit by the Donze trade ambassador, negotiation fall apart when the Ambassador forced himself on what he thought was a servant, in truth, this was the Princess Lithal Xiltane.
Since then, Mondlicht has sent no more than 30 pounds of steel per year into Donze, forcing them to rely on their own limited mining abilities.
After a long period of semi-seclusion, the new Queen Luazara Xiltane of Mondlicht pushes for her people to try and join the wider world, one of the first actions for this being to join the central alliance of Ennesland and Sykengland, a moce that surprised and upset a large number of people.
For a large number of years, the principalities of the southern mountains in Donze served as a prison country and as a barrier against Ichan, however, a large violent conflict broke out, resulting in a small group to claim these principalities as their own nation of Othrin, the name of the capital city during the reign of the ignited lord.
The first refugees from the koi confederacy and Sanu empire war in the east begin to trickle into Vesax. Many refugees become stuck in shanty towns in Donze, while a lucky few make their way into Sykengland.
As the year's pass, civilians, soldiers, and others make the Eastern population grow quickly. Not far behind the refugees, a number of Sanu soldiers follow, some searching for escaped criminals or enemies of Sanu, or as scouts for future attacks from Sanu.
