The Tear

The Tear refers to an incident where the barriers of the planes were thinned and began to bleed into one another.

At some point Approximately 12-10,000 years ago an unknown event caused the Planes of existence to bleed over into one another, resulting in catastrophic destruction on a nearly apocalyptic scale. Unfortunately very little is known about the time before this as very little survived this event, what little structures remain have mostly sunk beneath the ocean or rest beneath the dormant volcanic region of Jinpo.   It's also believed this event caused several planes of existence to collapse entirely.
