The Aeryn Court
The Aeryn Court is the council of Djinni that rules the day to day affairs of Free Djinndarra. It is they who inform the Sultan of the overall direction the djinni want the country to take, and it is up to the Sultan to convince them that the humans and elves that live there deserve a say in matters that affect their lives.
For the djinnis' part, they are not being malicious; most of the time they simply believe that what is best for them is of course best for everyone.
Demography and Population
The entire Court is made up of djinni.
Military
The Djinndarrin military is mighty, with a Griffon air force, a large well-trained infantry, and various specialty troops needed to defend desert positions.
Foreign Relations
The Court leaves most of the foreign relations to Aaryn Zephyrian, who has a talent at diplomacy and communication.
Laws
- The Law of Breath: None may steal the breath of another, by chain, spell, or vow.
- The Law of Open Sky: The sky belongs to all. Let none deny the right to drift, to speak, or to seek.
- The Law of Return: What is taken must be returned in rhythm, or its echo will unmake you.
- The Law of Stillness: In times of great motion, stillness is law.
- The Law of Weights: Let each voice carry its weight, and none drift above the storm.
- The Law of the Ripple: No act ends in itself.
- The Law of Windshared Peace: Within the breath of Djinndarra, let none wage war without the Court’s exhale.
- The Law of Listening: A law spoken without listening is no law at all.
- The Law of the Final Quiet: To silence a soul forever is a burden no wind should carry lightly.
The sky bends to none, yet shelters all below
