Ched Scrapper
Ched Scrapper is a 49 year old male red/gold kobold metallurgist. He has a dark frill and brown eyes. He has rugged, dull gold scales with red marks and scars. He stands 4'11" tall and has a lean build. He has an edgy, but unremarkable, face.
Ched can't feel pain, which may have influenced his accumulation of scars. However, he seems better able to resist heat and burns (resistance to fire and advantage to saves against heat based sources of damage). He is very detached from his emotions, not unlike a lizard folk, but the reasons relate to his life experiences. He is very obstinate when he makes a decision, but in contrast he frequently asks for help. These two traits sometimes make him seem to be acting like a child.
He discretely worships Ilia, as the God of fire and destruction. This was something that made sense to him, as fire and destruction were the source of his livelihood. When he first came to Kesh'Astrana, he worked as a scrapper. He would scour the dumps and abandoned buildings for metals to melt down and sell.
Due to a knack for identifying metals and a few fortuitous mistakes melting down mismatched scrap, Ched discovered a passion for metallurgy. He soon installed himself in Iron Alley and quietly amassed the wealth needed to buy his own business, The Cobalt Forge.
His family is composed of younger kobolds that Ched "adopted" into his household. None have shown aptitude for Ched's talents, but he keeps adopting, hoping to find an heir. In the meantime, his family helps with housework, errands, and scrapping. As a consequence, Ched has inadvertently created a kobold orphanage and smithing aschool.
In order to help smooth over the poor race relations kobolds have with most of Kesh's citizens, Ched employs Thrukurd Barrelchin to maintain the storefront and act the part of owner and craftsman when needed.
