Avenos
Homeworld of the Cynian species, and the Human City State of Concordia. It is a fairly cold planet, with large polar icecaps. Its regions very from rocky and cold alpine biomes, to frigid tundra, to mild in comparison taiga.
The Cynians evolved here, and the Concordians arrived on a generation ship around 60 years ago.
Geography
Both poles are covered in solid ice sheets all year round, while the remainder of the planet goes through limited seasonal changes.
From from equator to 45 degrees latitude the temperature ranges from -20 degrees Celsius to 65 degrees. from 45 degrees to 60 degrees latitude the temperature ranges from -40 to 30 degrees and is generally covered snow most of the year. From 60 degrees to the pole it is covered in ice sheets.
Natural Resources
Many natural resources, especially in the form of rare metals and resources need to build advanced computer components. Much of this is hidden beneath sheets of compacted snow and ice.
