Dukensdri
#### Bastion of Steel and Stone
Dukensdri is the second largest city in the empire, a sprawling bastion of military might carved into the heart of the land. Every soldier, guard, and officer is trained within its fortified walls, and many return to Dukensdri for re-evaluation, promotion, or elite training. Here, the strict military hierarchy is everything, climbing the ranks from Private to Major through merit, battle, and honor.
The city is bisected by two mighty rivers that slice through its terrain, creating natural defensive barriers and feeding the bustling military-industrial complex within. Massive stone bridges, wide enough for columns of troops and armored wagons, span the rivers at strategic points, heavily guarded and fortified.
The Western Flow is broad and slow, home to military shipyards, troop transports, and fortified river towers.
The Eastern Vein is narrower, faster, and lined with training fields, smithing workshops, and mounted cavalry courses where warriors practice river crossings under fire.
The city's architecture is purely functional—stone barracks, parade grounds, blacksmith forges, and towering military academies dominate the landscape. Yet scattered among them are hundreds of fight pits, taverns, and training arenas, where soldiers sharpen their skills and challenge one another for glory.
Beyond the eastern gates, the land rises sharply into jagged mountains. Whispers speak of hidden elven enclaves tucked away among the cliffs, and darker rumors warn of six-legged monstrosities and winged horrors that stalk the higher peaks.

### City Elements
#### Ironspire Foundries At the heart of Dukensdri’s industrial quarter stands the Ironspire Foundries, a vast network of roaring forges, mechanical workshops, and enchantment labs. These foundries produce everything from common infantry swords to legendary weapons bound with magical runes.
Master Smiths' Guild: Known as the Anvilborne, this guild trains and tests smiths who wish to become weapon wrights, armorers, or master craftsmen. To be recognized as a Forge lord, a smith must complete a grueling trial crafting a weapon or armor piece capable of withstanding a dragon’s breath or magical assault.
Enchanter-Smith Collaboration: Many smiths work alongside enchanters from Dinotoba, infusing metalworks with minor enchantments—flame-resistant armor, frost-edge blades, or strength-boosting gauntlets.
Special Materials The nearby mountains are rich in rare ores with unique abilities:
- Graveiron: Dark, heavy metal rumored to resist necrotic energies.
- Skyglass Steel: Lighter than iron, stronger than steel, faintly blue and nearly unbreakable.
- Vyrroot Crystals: Embedded into weapons to store magical charges.
