The Heart of the Atyrian Empire

Perched atop the towering Atyrdon Cliffs at the westernmost edge of the empire, Atyrodon serves as the proud capital of Atyria. The cliffs form a claw-like peninsula that cradles the city in natural defenses, requiring only a single reinforced wall to shield it from the open plains below.

The city itself is a marvel of craftsmanship—fortified with stone and steel, yet adorned with gold and silk to flaunt its resilience and rare vulnerability. At its highest point stands the emperor’s grand castle, crowned by a majestic lighthouse—an enchanted wizard’s tower—that casts its protective glow across the cliffs and sea.

At the base of the cliffs lies a bustling naval base and merchant docks, nestled safely within the curve of the claw. Here, the rough seas are tempered by natural barriers, and stairways and levitation platforms ascend the cliffs, guiding travelers up into the heart of the city.

Atyrodon is also the seat of many of the empire’s influential guilds. Those not headquartered within the city still maintain embassies here, recognizing its importance as a political and economic hub.

As one ascends the cliffside, the city’s districts grow ever more refined and magnificent, each level boasting grander architecture and richer displays of culture and wealth.

Notable Characters

Emperor Sigmorn Atyrdon the empire himself. Know for his calm temperament but fierce dealings with issues. Darlette is his wife, known as the empress of the people.

Lord Theron Mercule The Head of the Mercule Merchaning family. Resides in the noble district and can be seen at any high importance meeting in the city.

BraftDear The high brewer of the city, oversees the liqour production and supply chains. Always on the look out for new styles.

City Elements

Districts

The city itself is broken down into 9 main districts, The Emperial Dsitrict, Nobel District, Merchanting District, Naval District, Entertain District, Academic District, The White Horse Residential District and the Bronze Hoe residential district.

The Emperial District, containing the emperors castle, the tower of the high mage and the Militarys halls.

The Nobel District

The Merchanting District If a store isn’t here, it simply can’t exist. goods from everywhere of the empires reach will be sold in the streets here.

The Naval District The docks are split into three parts, the merchants loading and unloading, the miliarys docks and public use. No ships apart from the empires are stored in this district. Ports outside the city house boats long term.

The Entertainment District Although theatres and concert halls line the streets, the real entertainemt comes from the underground fight rings housed in their basements.

The Academic District The Archivist of the empire have a library know to house all knowledge the empire has aquired. Its no surprise many schools have poped up in the surrounding area.
