Construction of Space Elevator Prototype Begins
    Construction beginning/end

Ground broke today on the construction of Sibra's next monolithic project, the Sibran Space Elevator (SSE). Project engineers have been working on the design for decades and the Regional Secretary has finally approved the structure to be built on the minor continent of Sutassi. "The remoteness of the site is intended to minimize any collateral damage should anything go seriously awry during construction," said Undersecretary Wern in today's press conference, "although we are highly confident that this monumental prototype will indeed succeed and usher in an age of more efficient resource allocation with the Homeworld."   Factoid of the day: Over the past year, nearly 150 ships of gnome labourers and techological assistants as well as the Sibran project leaders have made their way to Sutassi in preparation for this day, which has almost quadrupled the population of this relatively untraveled landmass!

Although the UFFR long suspected the Coalition of supplying the Trian rebels with supplies during the planetary civil war, the Coalition finally made an official declaration of support for a "Free Tria rightfully governed by its native inhabitants" backed by several shipments of Symbiote infused weapons and technology to aid in the overthrow of the existing Sibran government.

Free Trian Era

Marks the beginning of the Free Trian Peoples' Republic and the re-assertion of Gnomish dominance over Tria.

    Planetary Shield Activated
    Technological achievement

A testament to Trian ingenuity, in just under 4 decades the Free Trian People's Republic managed to convert the Symbiote-enhanced anti-aircraft system into a functioning array of orbital defense platforms beaming invisible, destructive rings of plasma around the planet. With the number of rings and their orbital trajectories a highly kept governmental secret, the only guaranteed route of safe passage to the surface is via the shielded space elevator reaching up from the south-western sea.

    Population Migration / Travel

A territory on the southern coast of the Great Western Continent was allocated by the Free Trian People's Republic to be a self governing state for a portion of the Human refugees who recently appeared in the galaxy. In addition to being a benevolent action towards a people in need of assistance, Speaker Niallus has assured the people of the FTPR that Human Exclave Gamma will be a boon to the planetary economy as this alien race appears to be gifted in the art of technological miniaturization. Speaker Niallus also commented on additional benefits such as creating closer ties with the Galactic Coalition as a result of taking these refugees off of their respective hands.
