Frostspine Mountains
The Frostspine Mountains is the northernmost mountain range on the continent of Kadrun.
Geography
The Frostspine Mountains are a cold and treacherous mountain range with many tall, rocky, and icy peaks. In winter, the fierce snows make the mountain passes mostly impassible for everyone save the frost giants and the most resilient of frost dwarves. Much of the snows thaw in late spring and summer and during this time, the mountains passes become more easily passable.
There are several lakes in the areas between the mountain peaks that have been made from the melting snows and which are frozen during the winter months.
Fauna & Flora
The most well-known plant of the Frostspine Mountains is known as frostroot. Frostroot is unique to the Frostspine Mountains and is used to make a variety of delicious alcoholic beverages.
Besides the frostroot plan, the flora of the Frostspine Mountains consists of large coniferous trees and various alpine plants.
Some of the most common fauna in the Frostspine mountains are the ibex, the brown bear, the marmot, and various types of wolves (including the feared winter wolf).
Natural Resources
The most important natural resource of the Frostspine Mountains is whitesteel which the frost dwarves used to make incredible items of power.
Other mineral resources include iron, copper, and silver. There are also deposits of various gems beneath the mountains.
The hills and mountains are full of trees that can be used for lumber. Herds of ibex roam the hills and mountains which can be raised as livestock or simply hunted.
