Clan Frostbeard
Clan Frostbeard is the ruling dwarven clan of the Frostspine Mountains and of Kuzad-Nikar.
Structure
The head of Clan Frostbeard is always the Frost King of Kuzad-Nikar. The head of the clan is succeeded by the first born son or daughter in the case of there being no son of the previous head.
Assets
Clan Frostbeard is the largest and richest clan in Kuzad-Nikar. The clan has the resources of the kingdom available to it. Also, the capital city of Blaserkr, which the clan controls, has many mines rich in whitesteel and other minerals.
History
It is said that long ago, that a group of dwarves set out from the far south to discover new lands and new mountains to call their own. After traveling for months and months, the dwarves found the Frostspine Mountains and decided to settle here. The leader of this expedition is said to be the founder of Clan Frostbeard and as was his right as the leader, declared himself the king of this new land.
The eventual expansion of the kingdom lead to these dwarves encountering the frost giants which immediately escalated to a war. This war with the frost giants has been on on-again and off-again conflict for a long time, and Clan Frostbeard has been at the forefront of the war, leading dwarves into battle against the giants.
