Soot hall

Ervenian Era, 1051 AB
Soot Hall is a blazing monument to industry, invention, and unrelenting discipline nstled within the volcanic arteries of the Dwarvish Mountain. It was once overseen by Dugmaren Brightmantle, Soot Hall stands not merely as a forge-city, but as a sacred crucible of dwarven genius, a place where ideas are tempered in steel, and steel is shaped by the fire of discovery. Today it's divine power are limited, and helded together by Dumathoin and Vergadain.

Geography

Soot Hall is not named metaphorically. The very walls of this subterranean district are caked in fine black ash from ages of ceaseless labor. Smoke-glass lanterns cast a ruddy glow across forges and stone-carved streets, while iron bells and shrieking steam whistles regulate the hours in the absence of sun or stars.   Hidden among the smoke and anvils are quiet vaults of learning: iron-bound libraries filled with dusty tomes on metallurgy, alchemical experimentation, magical forging, and planar material science, where it was slowly copied to The Eternal Forge. Though few outsiders ever gain entry, those who do find themselves immersed in centuries of arcane and mechanical insight.

Inhabitants

Soot Hall is not named metaphorically. The very walls of this subterranean district are caked in fine black ash from ages of ceaseless labor. Smoke-glass lanterns cast a ruddy glow across forges and stone-carved streets, while iron bells and shrieking steam whistles regulate the hours in the absence of sun or stars.   These halls were littered with forges and smelters, where entire cavern networks were filled with smoking furnaces, chimneys, and roaring fires, their layout sprawling and functional rather than artistic.
