Kadian Invasion of Rakion

Ervenian Era, 1051 AB
The Kadian Invasion of Rakion, also known as the Octoland War, the Eastern Conflict or simply as the Kadian Invasion, is an ongoing conflict in Octoland between the forces of the native Rakion nations and the Kadian Dominion, which originates from the continent of Epeoris.

The Conflict

Prelude

A year after discovering Rakion, Kairoz issues an official decree of war. Preperations for the invasion begin; the kings of the Dominion sign a peace treaty with the Corgomuran Free Cities, and Kairoz signs a ceasefire with the God King of the Yokun Empire.   Kadian forces base themselves on the pirate islands, paying them to stay silent and implictly threatning to eradicate them otherwise; all but one members of a crew that tried to sell the information were tortured and hanged in public.

Deployment

The invasion began en masee, with literal tens of thousands of soldiers disembarking from transport ships along the eastern shores of Rakion, following an aggressive route clearing by the admiralty's warships.

    Depictions

A painting issued by the Ascendant of Ader, Queen Seraphine Lemaître; it dishonestly flatters Auspice, who is depicted riding Ixil and in good shape. Several artists were hired, each to paint a dozen paintings of this scene, with slight room for interpretation; few hundred such paintings can be found all around the kingdom. Left to right:
Pier of Saltis, Auspice of Ader, and Hannis the Pious.
