Venator
Ervenian Era, 1051 AB
Venatores are non-clerical members of the Andorian Inquisition that comprise the bulk of the inquisition's fighting forces. Venatores work under an Inquisitor, but nominally answer to their commanding venator. A unit of venators is called a ring.
Orders
Venators are divided into orders by their specialization:Venatores Impius specialize in unearthing cults, dealing with apostates, and with curtailing the spread of forbidden knowledge and practices. They infiltrate cults and gain their member's trust, requiring them to be the most charismatic and manipulative of all other venators.
Venatores Malificarum specialize in removing curses, cleansing magical afflictions, as well as combating necromancers and their servants. They are selected from among wizards who have proven their devotion beyond any doubt, and there are only a few hundreds in the entire organization at a time.
Venatores Perdita specialize in tracking down demons and their worshippers. Since they deal with the most chaotic and sudden events, they are known for their indiscriminate persecutions and purges.
