NuHuman
Humans with significant Inhuman ancestry. While indistinguishable from humans (except to experts in genetic abnormalities) in their early life, they possess sufficient Inhuman DNA to undergo Terrigenesis when exposed to the Terrigen (usually via the contamination in the Earth's water supply.)
Terrigenesis usually only occurs in adults or older teenagers, even when exposure to terrigen contamination begins at a younger age. Terrigenesis is not unknown in younger individuals, but the chance of surviving the process is significantly lower than in older NuHumans.
Though some NuHumans do ally themselves to existing Inhuman cultures, they have also develope a unique culture of their own. Providence Island is the primary centre of NuHuman culture, with slang, traditions, and artistic expressions beginning there before making their way out to the wider NuHuman culture.
Those who self-identify as NuHuman are found primarily on Providence Island or in Western Europe and North America, as other continents have their own unique Inhuman cultures, although English-speaking sources tend to use the term as a catch-all for Human-Inhuman hybrids.
Naming Traditions
Family names
NuHumans, especially those who loose or are rejected by their families, tend to abandon their previous names in favour of single word titles, removing any familial or patronymic element.
