Apache

The Apache are a group of culturally related Native American tribes in the Southwestern United States, which include the Chiricahua, Jicarilla, Lipan, Mescalero, MimbreƱo, Ndendahe, Salinero, Plains and Western Apache. The nations which make up the Apache are politically autonomous from one another, and speak distinct languages.

Most modern Apache people live in Oklahoma, Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico.

The Apache have strong historical ties to the Navajo, and their native languages are part of the same language family.
