City of Frost and Snow

Overview

Location

Within the coldest and most frigid parts of the Northern Realms, the City of Frost and Snow was build. It sits at the centre of the Snow Witches power.

Structure

The city has been growing around the original settlement, the Snow Witches refusing to break it down, instead using it as a spiritual centre for their worship of the Spectre of Cold. The real city surrounds these huts, forming a tight ring with the combination of wide plazas and training grounds for their apprentices, the living quarters within the next ring.
 

History

The city was built centuries ago, as the ancestral home of the Snow Witches it grew with their ambitions. It was among the settlements constructed by the first humans and elves moving into the furthest parts of the Northern Realms. It is said that without any proper building material, they had no other choice but to form snow into small huts, trying to survive the harsh conditions.
Within a few weeks, their numbers had been decimated and only the strongest remained, those eventually discovered the Spectre of Cold and entered a pact with it, worship and following their ways in exchange for survival and the magical powers necessary to ensure that.
After this deal was struck, the early people began to build their city, using the newly aquired magical powers to construct entire buildings from ice and snow. In the following centuries, the realm of the Snow Witches grew and shrank, the only constant being their capital built around those very first huts.
