Mariner's Rest
A common resting place for pirates and displaced Goliaths.

Geography
Mariner's Rest contains little to no elevation but does boast an intricate and un-mapped cave system. The air is usually hot and humid and is not unlike most jungle climates. Even though it rests upon Chanteau's Grave it the water surrounding Mariner's Rest is more similar to the Aeolian Plateau .
Ecosystem
The fauna on Mariner's Rest tends to be on the smaller more hospitable side. The majority of creatures on Mariner's Rest are smaller reptiles and insects. Due to the lack of large predatory birds in and around Mariner's Rest there is a rather active boxer crab population. The insects tend to feed the lizards and smaller birds allowing for larger denser forests to form, much to the benefit of the plethera of pirates and theives inhabiting the isles.
Ecosystem Cycles
The Ecosystem tends to remain quite steady throughout the year with the main fluctuation being at noon when heavy downpours occur causing most of the creatures to rest.
Climate
The climate rarely ever changes with the usual blistering heat (counts as extreme heat for players) followed by torrential downpours at noon. Normally the beaches at Mariner's Rest are cool but as you penatrate further into the jungles the temperature rises.
Fauna & Flora
In terms of fauna Mariner's Rest is pretty uninteresting, save for a few unique species of incendiary bugs. This is in major contrast to the flora. Interesting floral specimens include, but are not limited to:

Natural Resources
The land does not have any significant natural resources other than an abundance of fruits and useful lumber.
Tourism
Most if not all of the people who visit Mariner's Rest are refugees or wanted criminals. Few who visit come for the view. Due to Mariner's Rest dense foliage and uncharted caverns it is the ideal place for any and all fleeing governments of any kind.
