SC Summer Reading Corner 25
Summer was lovely while it lasted, now didn’t it? All the hot and cozy days are now behind us, and so is our beloved summer camp for this year, with so many articles having been written in such a short period of time, and it can be hard to choose which ones to pick this year, as so many were just that good. After a brief break and reviewing numerous articles, I have found what I am looking for in terms of writing style to showcase to the rest of the community. So give an applause and a like to the writers and their work that now stand in the spotlight.

It's all fun and games till reality-altering events start to change the fabric of the entire reality out of nowhere. In the event known as the Collision, two distinct planes of existence have collided, affecting the people who live here and creating a brand-new existence where both sides must figure out how to deal with the consequences. This has forever changed events, as Humans and elves must now live alongside one another when they should have done so in the first place.
Note: Add better depth and effect to people affected by a massive event involving geological and cosmic events.

Take to the skies with the famous aerial riders that use Wyverns to head off into battle with courage and valor. Those who can meet the demands of the job are often considered some of the greatest of fighters across the land that few can match while on their scaly mounts. Yet some find them also insane as they willingly jump off their wyverns to attack their enemies with deadly precision.
Note: Add greater cultural background when involving military units to understand them better.

In a world ravaged by war and strife, it is often those who are caught in the middle who are to pay the price, mainly the children who have no place to go. Luckily for them, the Good Children's House, run by the Good Sister, provides a place to feed and shelter them from the unforgiving world. Giving them a chance to be around other children and learn a basic education until they are allowed to be adopted.
Note: Add smaller places and groups into the world for more realism rather than grand scale.

A festival to celebrate the coming of water from the river that hopefully brings about another plentiful harvest to feed them. Yet all the while, to honor the passing of those who were taken by the floods that came during the rainy season. It is a bittersweet taste in everyone's mouth, but life goes on nonetheless, and the community rallies together to help one another face such a loss.
Note: Apply more cultural meaning to traditions, with some having multiple facets to them.

This dog is bred for war and is willing to take a bite out of anyone who tries to harm its master. He is the definition of loyalty and the bringer of terror to those he deems threats to the emperor.

Among the Mörkallen people, there stand the Deep Water Seers, those who are gifted with the ability to connect with their ancestors and preserve their people's history. While being given the highest standing, their culture is what they link to their past, with many of them taking up different roles to maintain it and train the next generation. A variety of practices and traditions allows them to continue their spiritual lifestyle, helping themselves and keeping the past alive.
