Angel
Angels are a type of Mythic that superficially resemble humans in shape and features, one of the only Mythics of that type (the other being Demons). Angels are smaller and more lithe than the average human being, and make their home above the very edge of the Earth's upper atmosphere. For the sake of surviving in what is effectively the vacuum of space (and keeping a low profile) Angels and their cities are almost entirely made out of magic. Each Angel's physical form resembles a fine fog or mist, which can be perceived by humans. They are rarely noticed, however, especially in areas with humid weather patterns.
Being essentially the opposite of their demonic counterparts, Angels are traditionally the familiars of Pure Witches. Angels society values principles of self-sacrifice above all else, and their Mythic abilities become stronger within the presence of self-sacrifice— either their own sacrifices or the willing self-sacrifice of others. This led to the creation of Oaths, complex magical restrictions that count as sacrifice for the sake of increasing an Angel's potential. But if an Angel is unwilling or unable to activate their abilities, they can still fight using their Span.
A Span (slang for Wingspan) refers to the set of wings that each Angel carries on their back. These wings come in all shapes and sizes, sometimes resembling the wings of a real Earth animal and sometimes being entirely unique. When an Angel so chooses, they can reach behind their back and activate their Span, transforming their wings into a weapon. Traditionally, this weapon takes the shape of a bow, but as technology has progressed Angels have adapted to using all forms of long-ranged weaponry as inspiration for their Spans. Each Span likewise has its own unique ability that varies from Angel to Angel, making them extremely powerful... at a cost. The weapon form of each Span is inscribed with the Angel's true name, allowing an onlooker to understand each and every one of the sins committed by an Angel over the course of their lifetime (a major taboo in Angel society). This makes Angels extremely hesitant to use their Span in actual combat— unless they are fighting Demons, of course, which necessitates their full strength (and full sins) to be put on display.
It is worth noting that Angels do not share the same concept of "sin" that many humans do. Something completely average to a modern American may be a truly abhorrent sin to Angel, or vice-versa. The values simply aren't the same.
Notably, unlike the Tale of a Demon, Angels can never have multiple Spans.

Notes:
But the English king was warned by an angel in a dream of the intended stratagem, and the colt was, by the celestial mandate, previously to the combat, conjured in the holy name to be obedient to his rider during the encounter. The fiend-horse intimated his submission by drooping his head, but his word was not entirely credited. His ears were stopped with wax.
