After entering a mysterious door, the Quartet finds themselves in a new dimension - the valley. They explore it, finding the remnants of whoever lived there before. But just as they settle down, they realise they're not alone. The DPD had also located the dimension and sent an agent to survey it. Unable to sneak away, the Quartet found themselves in an all-out battle. Although they fought back the red tide of officers, the DPD's specialists had them backed into a corner. In desperation, Bucket slipped out and made a deal with the Void to expel the DPD and create a protective barrier for the valley.
