Appearance

Bound Form

While in their bound form, Cruel appears as a human with greyish, almost stony skin, and hair like white flame. Its face is androgynous and their large, unblinking, red eyes almost pop out of their skull.  

True Form

Cruel's true angel form is 4 concentric eye-covered rings rotating around a centre of white flame. 6 wings float around the rings, 3 on each side.  

Drip and Accessories

While in its human form, Cruel usually wears comfy loungewear like oversized t-shirts and shorts. They also always wear a blindfold to stay in human form: removing the blindfold unleashes its true form.

Abilities, Weapons, and Curses

Signed, Sealed

Cruel Thesis can seal their true form in a humanoid body by wearing a magical blindfold.  

Light Orchestra

As long as their central flame stays lit, Cruel is able to create and control heavenly light. This light can be created from any part of their body or summoned from the sky.

Angel Eyes

Cruel's eyes flash a vibrant bright light, temporarily blinding and stunning anyone who gazes at them.

Heaven's Falling Down

Calls 16 beams of light down from the sky to smite a single target.  

Flaming Sword

A divine weapon able to cut through the enemies of Heaven and Light. Can be used to cook food too.

Personality

Loud and zealous, speaking in an archaic manner using words like thy and thou. Cruel believes wholeheartedly that whatever cause they follow is correct and infallible. They are somewhat gullible, being tricked by the DPD into thinking that serving them is part of the Divine Plan.

History

Cruel was created in heaven sometime in the past. As an ophanim, their duty was to sing praises and carry the chariot of the Big Man. However, while sleeping one night, they accidentally rolled out of heaven and descended onto Earth in dimension 4010.   Waking up mid-fall, Cruel was dazed and confused. They crashed into the side of a high school and interrupted the local supernatural investigation club's meeting. Cruel ascertained that fate had led them to this club meeting and they would help it carry out the Divine Plan. Cruel would come to see the club as real friends and companions over their many adventures. The club also found a magical artifact that would allow Cruel to take a humanoid form to enjoy mortal things like eating.   Just under a year later, Cruel would be found by the DPD and tricked into joining their specialist division by convincing them it's part of the Divine Plan. Since Cruel had come to Earth, it had forgotten all about the Plan, but hearing those words immediately brought their feverous zealotry back. They never said goodbye to their friends.   Cruel has continued to work for the DPD, carrying out their orders believing it to be the fated path of the Divine Plan.

Goals

Carry out the Divine Plan, even if it has no idea what that actually entails. (Although a part of them wishes to go back to the club in 4010 instead)

Fears

All their fear is blinded by light.
