The Eleven

Upon reaching the coast, over two decades had passed, and pairings among the original Elves had already begun and were formalized at this moment. The original Houses were established to further the mission of settling in the Enclaves and organizing themselves and the families that were beginning to arrive at this time.

This myth is largely based on historical events, and it is confirmed by the original records, which establish the settlement of Mauribon and list each of the Houses mentioned in this myth.

The myth is largely spread amongst The Elemental Enclaves where the majority of the surviving Houses remain today. This is particularly true among Houses Rylin, Sneha, and Argrain, said surviving Houses. The only historical evidence of this is kept in the Records of Mauribon, carefully preserved by the Citadel.

Different Houses have told this tale differently, each of them emphasizing their own role and suggesting that they were the closest to the Maiden. This has been a point of political contention over the history of the Elemental Enclaves, as the prominent Houses that can trace their lineage to this point fight over who had the Maiden's favor, and thus should be rewarded for it now.

It is a point of historical curiosity for those interested in such matters. Still, mainly it is the main Noble Houses that place any weight on this myth outside of it being a historical fact.
