Eye of Clarity

Utility

Quietus, one of the gods Rome gifted an Eye of Clarity, kept the original envelope the eye came in, along with the instructions given:

Attune your magic to the linear timeline '50, and hold the eye to the middle of your forehead. See the truth; see clearly. Please change your ways, stop using the perfume. I stopped planting daisies. Clarity hurts, I've since learned that, but it's necessary in this situation. But be careful, tuning your magic to the incorrect frequency could kill you. Best regards, Rome.

Social Impact

There were no effects outside of Daisy, and there were certainly no effects on The Godship itself. Those dependent on Rome, mortals and Minor Gods alike, became more reliant on themselves, at most.

Eye of Clarity

Inventor(s)

Rome, the goddess of clarity.

Access & Availability

After her failure in aiding the other kingdoms, Rome destroyed the five she had given to the others and began to keep the Eye of Clarity close to her chest, away from those who would dare disillusion her of clarity. This Eye of Clarity is the only one that exists, and Rome refuses to give anyone else the recipe or, given how isolated she became while making them, the required equipment. Some say that Rome will give an Eye of Clarity to those she trusts and wishes to bestow the gift of pure clarity upon.

Complexity

No one knows how the Eye of Clarity works. Some say it's Daisy's technology, but others say Rome simply concentrated her power of clear sight into something literal, an eye. Whatever the case, it's still to complex for even the gods of science, magic, and mechanics to understand.

Discovery

Once she saw the truth of the spirits of darkness, Rome locked herself in her room, searching for a way to either unsee or make it untrue, to deny her gift of clarity. But maybe the others just couldn't see what they were doing. So she sent the other spirits of darkness a letter to help them see clearly, to use her gift to improve their reigns.

Yet only one listened.

But maybe they still couldn't see. So Rome worked day and night, neglecting her own realm, leaving government up to the mortals she reigned over. All to make what turned out to be a contact lens with a daisy as an iris. But it could help them see, right?

But sometimes some are too stuck in their ways, too overconfident, to see clarity.
